Silver Lake College to Host Brent Anderson’s Senior Exhibition

Silver Lake College, 2406 South Alverno Road, invites the public to attend the art exhibit, Brent Anderson: Senior Exhibition. The exhibit, which features artworks Anderson completed as a studio art major at SLC, will appear in the art hallway from October 14-October 30th, 2010.   A reception, free and open to the public, will be held on Thursday October 14, 3:40-6:00pm.

Anderson says of his art, “This body of work investigates my personal identity.  Through this body of work I hope to share the perspective of a young graphic artist.”  His work focuses on the juxtaposition of natural life and unique, man-made objects.  He states, “Every project I produce has some part of me in it.  These pieces are a projection of who I am and who I want to become.”

During his time at SLC, Anderson was a student pioneer, participating in the first men’s basketball team and men’s golf team.  He was a leader in student activities, including bowling leagues, Brewer games, Fright Fest at Six Flags Great America, and game nights at the SLC.  Anderson also held a part-time job at Menards.

Exhibits are open to the public from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday: from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
