Junior Voice Recital at Silver Lake College

Three Silver Lake College students, Roger Bonde, Thom White, and Mitch Angel, will be presenting their Junior Voice Recital on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. in the Daniel Fine Arts Theater, located in the Music Wing of the Silver Lake College Campus.

Roger Bonde began working on his music degree in 1987.  Following an 11 year career at the Kohler Company, Roger received his Associate of Arts Degree in Music from U-W Manitowoc in 2001.  He is now a Junior at Silver Lake College pursing his Bachelor’s Degree in Music.  Roger will perform a variety of musical selections including pieces by G.F. Handel, Franz Schubert, Ralph Vaughn Williams, George Gershwin and others.

Thom White was born in Two Rivers and grew up in Manitowoc.  He received his Associate Degree from the University of Manitowoc Extension in 2007 and is currently pursing a Bachelor of Music Degree with a minor in Theology at Silver Lake College.  At Silver Lake he is a member of the Silver Lake Chorale and composes music for piano in his spare time.

Mitch Angel is a native of California and moved to Manitowoc in 1997.   Following a stint in the United States Army where he played Tuba and Bass Trombone with the 6th United States Army Band, he began playing professionally and played with such greats as Mel Torme, Steve Allen and Terry Gibbs.  Since moving to Manitowoc, Mitch has played with the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble, Lakeshore Big Band and performed with a variety of church choirs and bands in the Lakeshore Area.  Mitch is currently a junior at Silver Lake College pursuing his Bachelor of Music degree with an emphasis in voice.
